I have recently bought the Virgin Mobile X-TC and I logged on to my email and about 10 hours later, I realized that i had 1.50 deducted form my account for a data pack. I dont know if I accidently clicked that earlier or if email counts as data pack service. please help!

I don't know what's up with that. Email is supposed to be 15 cents each, unless you had to use the web to activate, then you'll get stuck with the ripoff 1.50 a meg charge. I don't use email or web on my phones so I don't know how to activate email.
This is the part about Virgin Mobile that Blows. If you want to protect yourself, just get a text plan and a data plan already. They are $5 each for the smallest ones if you have a monthly plan. It's more expensive if you are on a Pay as you go plan with rollover minutes. But it will save you money in the long run and cut down on the " Huh? Wth, I DIDN'T want that!" situations that many VM users run into.
VM has great deals, don't get me wrong, but they are a MINEFIELD of hidden charges. Check your balance too many times a day? They charge. Access Virgin XL w/o a plan? They charge. Have a credit/debit card or Paypal account with them on file, they CHARGE. and overcharge. I recommend to get the good and not the bad from VM (their killer phones, killer unlimited plans, etc) NEVER use a card , ONLY topup . It may seem like a hassle, but if you've ever been overcharged even once and tried to get your money back, you'll realize the peace of mind is worth it.

I think what the other answerer was trying to suggest is a DATA Cable. You can purchase one specific for your phone for around $30. You would plug the cable into the USB port on your computer and connect to your phone to transfer files. Or, IF your phone is Bluetooth capable, you can purchase a Bluetooh Dongle at any electronics store for around $40 which would also be plugged into the USB port on your computer to transfer your files wirelessly. There are some companies like sprint ( I used to have sprint ) that has a site where you can sign up with, where you can send text messages and even pictures to other people that have sprint phones or can accept outside text messages from an outside source other than a phone.

i made it so i would get a text message when i got a new email. it works but now i am getting texts and phone calls from certain people to my personal phone. when you send an email from your phone can they find out your personal phone number from that.

Whenever I send an email the address gets saved into the "sent" folder so whenever I want to send another email all I have to do is select the address again. The only problem is, I have compiled so many addresses that it's a pain to scroll through and find the ones I want. How do I delete all these adresses that I have piled up???

Beta will not let me send or reply to any messages. Why am I only accessing the BETA version?
The BETA version does not work well, and if you have filters set up, you cannot see these when you go to the main "mail" inbox page. I used to see ALL folders where I have my mail filtered. Now, I would have to search all of my folders for new mail.

I totally agree, Classic is a MUCH better product than Beta. I need to switch back. I used to check my work mail via POP using the "Check Other Mail" option. It USED to allow you to choose which server to check from, and would report how many new messages it downloaded. Beta now checks ALL accounts without you telling it to, and gives NO feedback as to whether it found new mail or not!
Also, the folders view with the parenthesees telling you (number of unread) messages per folder name is gone! WHAT? That is in EVERY email interface on the planet! You can still view "All Folders" with Beta, but they don't let you know if they have any new unread messages per folder.
Finally, instead of the MUCH better overview as a front page to Mail (which showed you number of unread messages in each folder), it now lists just the first five messages in your inbox...absolutely useless.
Where is the link to switch back to Yahoo Mobile Mail Classic, Yahoo?! Please! It's gone from my favorite mobile app to my worst nightmare in email functionality.

And then the person I sent it to asked "WHAT IS THAT!" So I guess it looked rather bad on their end. Finally, it uses way too much data now. I used to be able to read and reply to an email using between 6,000 and 8,000 and now its around 34,000. Not all of us have unlimited data usage. Yahoo! Give us the option of which one we want to use.

Yahoo hasn't installed it on all classic mail accounts yet. It won't be long and they will get to you. It's mandatory. We can't install it ourselves.

I go to Create Message and then I type a message in, afterwards, it takes me to my phone book and asks me who I want to send it to, I click the Options button and it says Enter E-Mail so I just click on that and type in the address, and it sends.
I am not sure if this is just for my phone, just for T-Mobile phones, or for every phone there is.

How can i set up yahoo email on my mobile (for new emails only) without downloading ALL old yahoo emails?
I only want to pick up new emails on my mobile (but while leaving them on the server so that they're not JUST on my mobile) but every time I've done this on mobiles, it ends up downloading ALL my 8-year old emails onwards, instead of new ones only.
How can i set up yahoo email on my mobile (for new emails only) without downloading ALL old yahoo emails?
My phone gives me the option to download all mail or just new, I'd look for a similar option on your phone.

If you don't have or don't want to use Outlook, then most Phone Manager programs have a basic Text Message function built in.

I've been told that Qtek 9000 is the best but after 2 or 3 months it starts failling. Can anyone give me advise/suggestions?

If the phone does fail and is on contract, most providers will send you a new one, as insurance is normally built into the contract.
He, accidently, smashed the screen and orange sent him a new phone by 12pm the following day.

You would be better off going for the unlimited data right now and seeing how much you use to check your email. Better to be safe and avoid a huge usage bill.
Spend a few extra bucks now.

Can I send holiday home (mobile) movies in an email?
I only have 2 email addresses, one with Yahoo the other with MSN. I have tried both to attach my movie (avi) files onto an email with no success at all. Both say they are *uploading file* but it just stays like that and the files are never uploaded, one said *uploading file* for 20 minutes, so I gave up. The holiday movies are not very long (about 5-10 minutes if that).
Please help, my friend wants a copy of them. Is there ANY way I can send the movies by email at all?

Can I send holiday home (mobile) movies in an email?
The files are probably too big that's the reason why its taking so long to upload to your mail. MSN and Yahoo! takes a lot longer to upload ANY attachments as they even do a scan of the file. You'll notice that when you send a file via both web emails that the file attachment is larger than the original file. An 8MB file would suddenly max out their 10MB limit.

Can I send holiday home (mobile) movies in an email?
The files are probably too big that's the reason why its taking so long to upload to your mail. MSN and Yahoo! takes a lot longer to upload ANY attachments as they even do a scan of the file. You'll notice that when you send a file via both web emails that the file attachment is larger than the original file. An 8MB file would suddenly max out their 10MB limit.

I now have a device that does not support mobile email, not messenger. I want to stop all mobile email alerts because they are using up my text messages and I can't even open them. I am not using beta. How do I stop these?

If you dont have Aim, get it

Are you provisioned for MMS (Picture Messaging)? To check call 191 and ask customer services. If you have MMS provisioned then there must be a problem with your settings, MMS has different settings than normal WAP browsing. Find the settings on the following page and get them sent to your phone -
